Top-5 Finish in Second Round of Wild West Shootout

On Saturday evening Chase Junghans visited FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) piloting his Chase Junghans Racing No. 18 Super Late Model entry for the 14th annual Wild West Shootout. In a field of 46 cars, Junghans followed up the fastest time in his qualifying group with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Bobby Pierce. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish in the feature, Chase gained six spots in the 30-lapper to place 6th.

The following night, Chase locked his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the 3rd and final transfer spot in his heat race. Rolling off ninth, Junghans improved five spots in the 40-lap affair to reel in a 4th place finish behind Brandon Sheppard, Ricky Weiss, and Bobby Pierce with Brian Birkhofer coming in 5th.
