Junghans Charges to Top 5 Finish at Jackson

With restrictions from the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic progressively lightening, Chase Junghans made the trek to Jackson Motorplex (Jackson, Mn.) on Friday evening for the Drydene Double Down Invitational. Drawing 26 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries, Junghans got behind the eight-ball in time trials that locked him into the ninth-starting position for his heat. Jumping up three spots to register a sixth place finish, Chase locked into the 16th-starting position for the opening night feature. Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Chase Junghans gained 12 spots in the 30-lapper to place fourth behind Ricky Weiss, Brandon Sheppard, and Shannon Babb with Chris Madden coming in fifth.

On Saturday evening for the $20,000 top prize, Chase secured his spot into the finale with a third place finish in heat. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Junghans passed six cars in the 60-lap affair to register a sixth place finish.
