Seventh-place finish in World of Outlaws stop at Beaver Dam

Tuesday night saw Chase Junghans return with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at Beaver Dam Raceway (Beaver Dam, Wis.) competing in a field of 31 cars. Grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot in in his heat race, Junghans locked into the 14th-starting position for the opening night feature. After having Wednesday night off, Chase followed the World of Outlaws to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Thursday to kick off the 33rd annual USA Nationals weekend. Following an eighth place finish in his heat race, Junghans logged an eighth place outing in his B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the $6,000-to-win preliminary feature. After getting spun around on lap 16, Chase rebounded to finish 17th.

On Friday evening for a pair of heat races, Junghans jumped up one spot in his first heat to finish second behind Brandon Overton. Getting involved in a tangle in his second round that dropped him back to eighth, Chase sat 27th overall in passing points.

Rolling off sixth in his B-Main on Saturday night for one last shot at the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals feature, Chase pulled off on the eighth lap. Using a provisional into the show, Chase Junghans was an early retiree from the 100-lapper on lap 49.

Chase sits in fifth in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings. For more results from these events, please visit www.WoOLMS.com.
