GARTNER JR GOES BACK-TO-BACK IN MANDAN
Wishek's Curt Michaelsohn grabbed the lead from pole sitter Karlie Hoerner in the Hobby Stock feature. John Gartner Jr quickly passed Hoerner, bringing Chris Welk and Dylan Sandberg with him. Hoerner had her hands full with Nathan Messer as they raced hard for fifth. As Michaelsohn started to distance himself from the field, Sandberg challenged Welk for third. As the laps wound down, Gartner started searching for different racing lines. Finding speed along the high side, Gartner cut down Michaelsohn's lead. With a few laps remaining, white smoke started to billow from underneath the front of Gartner's race car. AS the white flag waved, Michaelsohn and Gartner were side by side for the win. Racing out of turn four, John Gartner Jr held off Curt Michaelsohn to win back-to-back victories at Dacotah Speedway. Chris Welk finished third while Dylan Sandberg crossed the finish line fourth. Terry Davenport rounded out the top five.
