WELK CAPS OFF DREAM SEASON WITH WIN
John Gartner Jr grabbed the early lead from pole sitter, Roy Erickson, in the Hobby Stock feature. Gartner quickly felt pressure from behind from track champion, Chris Welk Jr. They flip flopped position several times as Daniel Kaseman lurked in third. It soon became a three car battle for the lead which allowed fourth place Nathan Speten to close in on the leaders. Welk shuffled into the lead as Gartner got loose, losing a position to Speten. Speten, who started last, passed Kaseman for second. With only a handful of laps remaining, Speten challenged Welk for the win. As they crossed the finish line, Chris Welk Jr just narrowly edged Nathan Speten for the win. Daniel Kaseman finished a close third while Bill Hultberg finished fourth. Chad Hausauer made a last lap pass to finish fifth ahead of John Gartner Jr.
