“Things are really clicking right now with our team, and we’re putting ourselves in good positions to win races,” Satterlee noted. “The upcoming weekend with the Lucas Oil Series will be a good measuring stick of where we are at as a team right now. A big thanks goes out to Robby (Allen) for giving me a great car every time we hit the track, and a big thanks also goes out to all of our supporters.” After losing Friday night’s opener at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) to Mother Nature, Gregg Satterlee followed the Zimmer’s United Late Model Southern Series to Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pa.) on Saturday afternoon. In a field of 22 cars, Gregg laid down the fourth-fastest time in his qualifying group before placing second in his heat race behind Max Blair.
Finishing second in the pole scramble, Satterlee locked into the second-starting position for the main event. Sneaking past polesitter Blair on the opening lap, Gregg led wire-to-wire en route to his third win of the season and ninth career ULMS triumph. He took the checkers 2.682 seconds ahead of Blair, Dylan Yoder, Jeff Rine, and Dan Stone to pocket $4,000.
