Satterlee repeats in Turk Burket 88 Tribute at Bedford
For the fifth time in 2021 Gregg Satterlee piloted his Satterlee Motorsports No. 22 Keyser Manufacturing/ Valvoline/ Classic Ink/ XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model to a victory on Monday evening.
His latest conquest came at Pennsylvania’s Bedford Speedway in the Turk Burket 88 Tribute and rewarded him with a 4,000 triumph.
“It seems like so far this year that we’ve been regularly trying to find places to race, where the rain isn’t, and this past weekend was no exception. After everything else was washed away, we ended up at Bedford on Monday. We were sitting in the second position with eight laps left, when Colton (Flinner) went pitside which gave us the lead. From there I was able to get the win,” Satterlee said. “We’re putting together a pretty solid year, and we’re excited about the big money events coming up. This weekend we’ll head to West Virginia Motor Speedway and go after those two big paydays.”
With his initial weekend plans altered by Mother Nature, Gregg Satterlee made his lone start of the Memorial Day weekend on Monday afternoon at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) in the Turk Burket 88 Tribute. After topping the 20-car field in time trials, Satterlee secured his spot into the main event with a heat race victory.
Grabbing the lead from Colton Flinner on lap 32 after the race-long pacesetter withdrew from competition, Gregg cruised to his fifth win of the season, which came over Jeff Rine, Gary Stuhler, Matt Cosner, and Matt Sponaugle.
He earned $4,000 for his second Turk Burket 88 Tribute victory after also winning the event in 2019.
