Satterlee salvages podium finish in Junior Eckert Memorial

Gregg Satterlee was one of 23 Zimmer’s United Late Model Southern Series (ULMS) entries on hand at Trail-Way Speedway (York Haven, Pa.) on Friday evening for the Junior Eckert Memorial. After topping the charts in time trials, Satterlee streaked to a heat race victory, which positioned him third on the starting grid for the $8,000-to-win A-Main. With polesitter Coleby Frye setting the pace early, Satterlee stole the lead on the 11th lap and led the ensuing 17 circuits. An aggressive move by another competitor on the 28th lap relegated him back to a third-place finish when the checkered flag flew. He followed Kyle Hardy and Max Blair across the line with Jason Covert and Dylan Yoder completing the Top-5 finishers. (Teal Beard photo)
