The Racing Robinsons Head Into 2024
Ross Robinson Hits the Road, Amanda Robinson to Race Regionally
GEORGETOWN, DEL. - January 3, 2024 - Mid-Atlantic fan favorite Amanda Robinson is looking forward to an expanded schedule of 20+ regional races behind the wheel of her No.4 Super Late Model for the 2024 season. The upcoming season will be Amanda’s 14th season in a Super Late Model and 17th overall season racing. The two time Delaware International Speedway Champion and only woman to lead a World Of Outlaws Super Late Model race has spent the last two seasons serving as her husband Ross’ crew chief with the Lucas Oil Late Model Series.
Amanda will continue to help Ross on the road at times, but is stepping into a behind the scenes role that allows her to run their new business, Stockley Speed & Supply, while competing more throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
In 2024 Ross Robinson will once again run full time with the Lucas Oil Late Model Series (LOLMDS). Ross and the No.7 team are excited about where they left off in 2023 and feel that key new additions to the crew have them set up nicely for the 2024 campaign. “We are really excited to add Luke Eller and Michael Roach to year three with the LOLMDS. Having extra help can only mean good things for our team. Things have been looking up since we made the switch to Rocket Chassis, half way through last season, so we look forward to continuing that relationship with the Rocket1 team and building our notebook.” 2024 looks to be a busy season with Ross adding “Aside from The Lucas Oil Late Model Series schedule, we look to fill in open dates with other national and regional events.”
Amanda is excited to race more in 2024, and feels that the time spent working on Ross’ car was a valuable learning experience that she will utilize this year behind the wheel. “A big thing was watching how other top teams prepare for a night has been valuable. Knowing how to maintain it properly and to be prepared.” Amanda noted that being able to discuss shocks, springs, tires and the car in general has helped her get a better understanding as to why the car reacts a certain way. “Everything that I have learned helps when I get back behind the wheel. It gives me a better idea of what I need to change and when I need to change it.”
Ross and Amanda are putting in the work and are primed for an exciting season. Amanda feels that the long hours on the road and the hard work have them going forward and ready for another challenging season with the team fighting a two front war with her racing regionally and Ross on the tour. “ I look forward to the progress we're all going to make as a whole team. It’s hard when it’s just two people trying to run a race team properly and we have hired two good guys to help us start getting to where we think we belong.”
