Eldora Million and Dirt Late Model Dream bring Robinson to Ohio

With the 124-car field split into two groups for a pair of $12,000-to-win preliminary features, Ross followed up a seventh-place finish in his heat with a consolation victory. Starting in 22nd, Robinson was an early retiree from the 25-lapper on the ninth circuit.
Later Thursday night for heat races leading up to the Eldora Million, Robinson’s eighth-to-fifth run in his heat race relegated him into the B-Main. Needing to place second or better to make the $1,002,022-to-win A-Main, Ross recorded a sixth-place outing.
On Friday as the 28th annual Dirt Late Model Dream got underway with a pair of prelims, Ross passed four cars in his heat race to finish sixth, sending him into the B-Main. Starting in second, Robinson was battling for a transfer spot when he ran into mechanical issues, ending his night early.
Slated to start Saturday’s heat race in 13th, Robinson was a scratch from the remainder of the weekend.
