Benji Hicks rolls into Volunteer Speedway for Volunteer 50 weekend
On Friday afternoon, Benji Hicks checked into Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the first night of the unsanctioned-Volunteer 50 weekend.
Qualifying 11th-quickest in his group, Hicks was an early retiree in his preliminary feature and recorded an 18th-place finish.
Placed in the second B-Main on Saturday, Benji charged from 10th-to-5th but still came up one spot short of making the $50,050-to-win main event.
