DAHL DOMINATES AT THE GOV CUP
In the IMCA Modified feature, Mark Dahl led from the pole. Dahl quickly started to pull away from the field until an early caution erased his lead. On the restart, third place Marlyn Seidler raced side by side with Kenny Wallace. As the leaders started to catch lapped traffic, it allowed Wallace to close in on second place Hank Berry. Using the lapped traffic to his advantage, Wallace slipped by Berry for second and started cutting into Dahl’s lead. However, Kenny Wallace ran out of time as Mark Dahl led all 25 laps to win the feature, his first since 2016. Marlyn Seidler made a late race pass to finish third ahead of Hank Berry while Travis Olheiser finished fifth. Mark Dahl’s victory sealed the Gov Cup Championship.
