Amantea Set for USAC East Coast Sprint Cars Show at Action Track USA

Inside Line Promotions – Mt. POCONO, Pa. (July 10, 2023) – A mid-week show is on tap for Joey Amantea, who will join the Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprint Cars this Wednesday at Action Track USA.

It marks the first of two series races at the bullring in Kutztown, Pa., this summer.

“We’re looking for a win on Wednesday,” he said. “We’re riding the momentum from our last USAC East Coast race in Delaware and the last time we were out at Action Track USA in the 410. We want to win the thing and get some momentum going into Indiana Sprint Week.”

Amantea charged from 19th to 13th on June 18 during the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars Eastern Storm finale at Action Track USA. His career-best sprint car outing at the track was an eighth-place showing in July 2021 with the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars.

“It’s run everywhere to be honest,” he said. “You throw sliders every lap until the race is over. It’s 100 percent a blast.

“We’ve had some good speed there, but some really bad luck. Last year we won a heat race and then we blew up running fourth in the feature.”

Amantea enters the race ranked sixth in the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars championship standings – only nine points out of third place.
