Billings Motorsports Park Features Nine Different Winners and More Than 100 Entries During Final Weekend of the Season

Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (Oct. 5, 2016) – Billings Motorsports Park wrapped up the 2016 season last weekend with a doubleheader that showcased more than 100 entries throughout five classes.

The monster event had been delayed a week because of the weather and the finale was also postponed one day to Sunday because of rain, but many teams, drivers and officials returned to the 3/8-mile oval to close the season on a bright note.

Cory Craver was the only driver to sweep the weekend as he claimed Friday’s street stocks main event from the pole before charging from 16th to win on Sunday.

Chris Serr, Dwayne Fowler, Troy Murner and 2016 track champion Robert Petroff rounded out the top five, respectively, on Friday. Ken Krogh, Fowler, Petroff and Bill Handel placed second through fifth on Sunday.

Chad Becker captured the late model feature on Friday with Hank Berry winning on Sunday.

Track champion Kelly Hample finished second in both main events with David Smith, Virgil Randall and Jim Harris the top five on Friday and Smith, Harris and Rob Odegard placing third through fifth on Sunday.

Mike Hansen and Eric Burwich split the modifieds feature victories. Hansen claimed Friday’s show as Berry, Burwich, Jeremy Meirhofer and Travis Peery earned top-five finishes. Burwich held off Hansen on Sunday with Peery, Ed Conlin and Zach Olson also picking up top fives.

Track champion Jason George and Meirhofer captured super stocks wins during the weekend. George outlasted Meirhofer, who started 14th, on Friday as Pat LaMere, Corey Aga and Paul Lease produced top fives. Meirhofer completed the win on Sunday with LaMere, Taylor Johnson, Aga and Vance Lorenz ending second through fifth.

Kyle Harkin and Scott Joslyn were the midwest modifieds winners. Harkin advanced from eighth to score the triumph on Friday, when Jay Will, 13th-starting Rod Lorenz, Justin Williams and Joslyn pocketed top fives. Joslyn outlasted Lorenz on Sunday for the victory as Rex Conrad, Philip Keller and Jake Dimond rounded out the top five.
