Joseph Joiner and Hunt the Front Announce Collaboration with Capital Race Cars, Joiner to Debut New Capital Car at Eldora Speedway’s World 100
MILTON, Fla. (Sept. 2, 2024) — Joseph Joiner and the Hunt the Front race team are set to unveil a brand new Capital Race Car during the prestigious World 100 this week at Eldora Speedway as part of a new collaborative partnership between Joiner, Hunt the Front, and Capital co-owners Shane Clanton and Chad Smith.
Joiner’s new Capital Race Car will be powered by the team’s Clements Race Engine and will feature a new wrap design showcasing Joiner’s traditional No. 10. and the team’s primary sponsor, Kubota Tractor Corporation and the MyKubota app.
The new partnership marks a return to Capital Race Cars for Joiner, who emerged as one of the top Crate Late Model racers in the country and became a consistent Super Late Model contender in the Southeast while fielding Capital cars from 2019 through 2022.
As part of this new partnership, Joiner and the Hunt the Front race team will receive support from Capital and JRI Shocks and will work closely with Clanton on race day setups and testing to provide developmental feedback for the Capital Race Cars program. The partnership is aimed at both enhancing the team’s performance on the track and helping in the further development of Capital.
Joiner’s history with Capital is notable, with his previous stint producing numerous Super Late Model victories, including the 2020 National 100 at East Alabama Motor Speedway. Joiner also made his lone World 100 main event start in a Capital in his first trip to the famed track in 2021.
Joiner’s success in Capitals also extended to Crate Late Model racing, where he claimed the $50,000 Super Bee 100 at Super Bee Speedway and the prestigious Powell Memorial at All-Tech Raceway.
“I’m really excited to be working with Shane, Chad, and everyone at Capital Race Cars,” said Joiner, who currently sits fourth in the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series points standings with one victory on this year’s tour. “The effort they’ve put in since taking over Capital is really showing in the performance on the track, and I’m looking forward to being a part of that continued success. Eldora is the perfect place to debut this new car, and we’re ready to go after a strong run at the World 100.”
Joiner’s return to Capital comes in a new era for Capital Race Cars that began earlier this year when Clanton, the longtime Capital house car driver, partnered with Chad Smith to purchase the chassis brand from founder Marshall Green.
Clanton, a former World 100 winner and past World of Outlaws Late Model Series champion, shared his enthusiasm about the partnership with Joiner and the HTF team.
“We’re excited to work with a talented driver like Joseph,” Clanton said. “He’s proven himself time and time again, and we believe that with the support from Capital and JRI Shocks, he’s going to achieve great things. We’re looking forward to seeing what the HTF team can do with this new car starting at Eldora and going forward.”
Smith echoed Clanton’s excitement, adding, “We’ve made significant strides with our program this year, and having Joseph with us is a big part of continuing that progress. We’re thrilled to work with him and the Hunt the Front team as we continue to push Capital Race Cars forward.”
Fans and supporters can follow the Hunt the Front team’s journey at the World 100 and beyond on social media and the team’s popular YouTube vlog.
