Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (July 10, 2016) – Rob Odegard outlasted the rain and 18 other competitors to claim his first $1,000-to-win late models feature of the season at Billings Motorsports Park on Saturday during the Monster Mash event.
Doug LaPierre also bested more than two dozen midwest modifieds racers to capture his first win of the year at the track and Robert Petroff extended his lead in the street stocks championship standings after recording his second triumph of the season.
Odegard capped the night by earning a trip to the Winner’s Circle following a rain delay that halted the final race of the night. Mike Stadel scored a runner-up result with Kelly Hample taking the lead in the championship standings thanks to a third-place finish. Dan Henrikson finished fourth and Stewart Hayward fifth.
LaPierre also netted $1,000 for winning the midwest modifieds feature. Jake Dimond, Zach Olson, points leader Dennis Hurd and Jay Will rounded out the top five, respectively.
Petroff owns a 20-point advantage in the street stocks championship standings following his second win this season. Troy Lorenz ended second with Bob Gordon third, Grant Gary fourth and James Garretson fifth.
Billings Motorsports Park will return to action next weekend for the opening doubleheader of the NSA Shootout, which features 360ci winged sprint cars, midwest modifieds and street stocks both nights as well as late models on Saturday.
