McCord, Kenaston, George and Hurd Earn BMP Speedway Track Championships
Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (Sept. 3, 2017) – Rayce McCord, Devin Kenaston, Jason George and Dennis Hurd each captured a track championship on Saturday night at BMP Speedway.
All four drivers entered Track Championships Night at the 3/8-mile dirt oval in control of their championship destiny and all four were efficient, earning a strong heat race finish before a top-five result in the main event.
Defending track champion Kelly Hample claimed his track-best fourth WISSOTA late models A Main while McCord powered from sixth to second place to secure the title. Ted Hample rounded out the podium with Kinzer McCord placing fourth and Ty Hample fifth.
Rayce McCord and Kinzer McCord were the heat race winners.
Dwayne Fowler charged from eighth to garner his second WISSOTA street stocks triumph this season. Cory Craver rallied from seventh to second place with Kenaston finishing third. Bob Gordon placed fourth and David Gleaton was fifth.
Kenaston and Gordon each won a heat race.
Tocci swept the WISSOTA super stocks event, claiming both the lone heat race and A Main, for his track-best fourth victory of the season in the class. Jeremy Meirhofer was second with Steve Berg third, George fourth and Thomas May fifth.
Tocci also earned a trip to the Winner’s Circle in the WISSOTA midwest modifieds division for the first time this season after he started fifth. Rod Lorenz scored a runner-up result with Steven Stephenson third, Hurd fourth and 11th starting Cal Rossner fifth.
Hurd, John Hurd and Lorenz all recorded heat race victories.
The next event at the BMP Speedway facility will be sand drags next Saturday followed by the Dan Laber Memorial featuring the NSA Series and ASCS Frontier Region 360 winged sprint cars, IMCA modifieds and the Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series on Sept. 15-16.
