Lorenz, Hample, Tocci and Hurd Score Wins During Mid Mod Monster Mash Night at BMP Speedway
Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (June 25, 2017) – Rod Lorenz captured his second straight WISSOTA midwest modifieds victory and third of the season on Saturday at BMP Speedway to claim the $1,000-to-win Mid Mod Monster Mash.
Kelly Hample, Jordan Tocci and Dennis Hurd were also victorious at the 3/8-mile oval.
Lorenz outlasted ninth-starting Jay Will to best a field of nearly two dozen WISSOTA midwest modifieds competitors. Hurd rounded out the podium with Steven Stephenson advancing from 11th to fourth place. Marvin Gonzales finished fifth.
Hurd, Devin Kenaston and Lorenz were the heat race winners.
Hample maneuvered from fifth to remain undefeated in three WISSOTA late models main events at BMP Speedway this season. John Lighthizer finished in the runner-up position with Chris Dunn third, Rayce McCord fourth and Jeremy Meirhofer fifth.
Hample and McCord each scored a heat race triumph.
Tocci advanced from fifth to garner his second WISSOTA super stocks victory of the season. Meirhofer ended second with Jace Lorenz maneuvering from seventh to third. Vance Lorenz placed fourth and Thomas May was fifth.
Meirhofer won the lone heat race.
Hurd picked up a win in the Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series main event with Roger Cummings, Bill Carey and John Hurd rounding out the field, respectively.
Carey was the heat race winner.
BMP Speedway hosts a doubleheader next Friday and Saturday. WISSOTA late models, WISSOTA street stocks, IMCA modifieds and WISSOTA midwest modifieds compete both nights with the Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series joining the program on Saturday.
