Dillard enjoys strong showing with World of Outlaws at Mississippi Thunder

In a field of 38 World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series entries, Dillard edged his way into the preliminary feature with a third-place finish in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Cade gained five positions in the 30-lapper to finish fourth. He followed Bobby Pierce, Stormy Scott, and Mike Marlar across the line with Tyler Bruening coming in fifth.
With a stout field of 73 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on hand for the three-day event, Cade’s ninth-to-sixth run in his heat relegated him into the B-Main. Transferring the top-four into the show, Dillard fell short with a ninth-place outing.
On Friday evening, Cade followed up the second-fastest time in his Late Model qualifying group with a heat win. Receiving the second-starting position for the feature via the redraw, Dillard dropped three spots to finish fifth. He trailed Jonathan Davenport, Bobby Pierce, Tyler Erb, and Spencer Hughes to the checkers.
Following a sixth-place finish in his Modified heat, Dillard raced forward four spots in his B-Main but missed a transfer position by one spot.
For the finale on Saturday, Dillard passed four cars in his heat race to place second. Starting the $50,000-to-win Dairyland Showdown finale in eighth, Cade inched forward one position in the 75-lapper to place seventh.
In his Modified, Cade secured his spot into the USMTS finale with a runner-up finish in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Dillard faded one spot to register a 10th-place finish.
