Dillard scores seventh-place finish in Hell Tour action at Davenport

Wednesday night saw Cade Dillard return with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals for the eighth stop of the Hell Tour at Beaver Dam Raceway (Beaver Dam, Wis.). Following the sixth fastest lap in time trials, Cade posted a runner-up finish in his heat, which positioned him sixth on the starting grid for the feature. The following night at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on the quarter-mile oval, Dillard clocked in fourth fastest in his group before streaking to a 10-lap heat race victory. Receiving the fourth-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main via the redraw, Cade faded three spots in the 40-lapper to register a seventh-place finish.
