Prairie Dirt Classic brings Cade Dillard to Fairbury Speedway

riday night saw Cade Dillard pick back up with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series as 74 entries crammed into the pits at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the 31st annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend. With the massive field split into two groups for time trials, Dillard’s 20th fastest qualifying effort placed him 10th on the starting grid for his $3,000-to-win preliminary feature. Locking the Top 4 into the main event on Saturday, Cade logged an eighth-place finish.

Rolling off sixth in his B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the show, Cade posted a fifth-place finish, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic. Starting in 29th, Dillard gained eight spots in the 100-lap affair to finish 21st. (Josh James Artwork)
