Cade Dillard
6th Place Finish in USMTS Action at South Texas Speedway
On Friday night Cade Dillard hopped behind the wheel of his Modified for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) season-opener at I-37 Speedway (Pleasanton, Texas). In a field of 33 cars, Dillard came in 4th in his heat before picking up a 12-lap consolation victory. Starting the opening night feature in 14th, Cade was an early retiree from the 40-lapper to save equipment.
The following night at South Texas Speedway (Corpus Christi, Texas), Dillard posted a 5th place finish in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Streaking to a 12-lap B-Main victory, Cade locked into the 13th-starting position for the feature. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Cade Dillard passed seven cars to place 6th. On Sunday afternoon at Cotton Bowl Speedway (Paige, Texas) for the second annual Cotton Bowl Clash, Cade locked his spot into the $3,000-to-win finale with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Tyler Davis. Starting in eighth, Dillard was an early exit from the 40-lap affair.
