Podium finish in Volunteer Speedway opener

Cade Dillard returned with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on Friday night for the doubleheader at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.). With 33 cars registered in for action, Cade followed up the eighth fastest time in his qualifying group with a third place finish in his heat. Improving six spots in the opening night feature, Dillard posted a third place finish behind Brandon Sheppard and Dennis Erb Jr. with Ashton Winger and Scott Bloomquist rounding out the Top-5. 1The following night for another $10,000-to-win A-Main, Dillard made hard contact with the wall in his heat that forced him to pull out the secondary car for the remainder of the evening. Using a provisional into the main event, Cade salvaged a 19th place outing after bringing out the final caution of the race on lap 31.

Cade is currently sixth in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
