Benedum suffers flat tire during Southern Nationals visit to East Alabama
Returning to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) for Friday's rain-postponed Southern Nationals Series event, Mike Benedum prepared for a two-day weekend at the track.
With the original qualifying results placing Mike on the second-row, Benedum was running inside the Top-5 when his tire gave way. He rejoined the field but was only able to get to 11th at the checkered flag.
After originally planning to stay for the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series event on Saturday, the team found issues with their motor overnight which sent them home early.
