Tanner Kellick leads laps at Super Bee Speedway before mechanical failure

With the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series coming to town, Tanner Kellick checked into his home track of Super Bee Speedway (Chatham, La.) on Saturday afternoon for the $3,000-to-win show.

Stopping the clock second-fastest in his group, Kellick locked into the dash where he would charge from fourth to the victory. Earning the pole position for the 40-lap main event, Tanner battled with Clay Stuckey and Chad Thrash for the lead before slipping back to fourth and dealing with mechanical issues. Kellick was forced to pull off early and was 16th in the final running order.
