Theiss visits Arkansas for Comp Cams doubleheader

Austin Theiss followed the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) to Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Ark.) on Friday afternoon for the Cow Patty 50. Drawing 26 Late Models, Theiss jumped up one spot in his heat race to finish sixth. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main, Austin grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot. The following night at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.) for the fifth annual Will McGary Memorial, Austin failed to finish his heat race, sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place fourth or better to make the show, Theiss gained five spots to finish fifth, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the show. With $5,000 on the line, Austin was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on lap 18.
