Cory racer registered a $15,000 victory in the inaugural running of the Tennessean at 411 Motor Speedway aboard his W.E. Hardscapes & Masonry / Noble Knights Construction Services / No. 23 Currin Construction / BMF Race Car / Eagle Racing Engine Super Late Model.

His third win of the season also marked his first-career Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals victory.

“To win in front of a hometown crowd like this in a big event with these names here … it’s always good to win it at 411,” Hedgecock said in Victory Lane. “We were fast in laps, but terrible in qualifying. We started seventh and drove to the front by around lap 40. These BMF Race Cars are awesome. That was a tough one that we had to work for.

“I’m just happy, grateful, thankful, every which way and above. I can’t thank all my people enough.”

Cory Hedgecock entered a single event over the weekend with a short trip to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) to pilot his Noble Knights Construction Services No. 23 Super Late Model in The Tennessean, which was sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals.

In a stout field of 43 cars, Hedgecock followed up the sixth-fastest qualifying effort in his group with a runner-up finish in his heat race. Driving underneath early leader Dale McDowell on lap 39 of the feature, Cory soared to his first-career Spring Nationals victory and the richest Super Late Model win of his career.

Hedgecock finished ahead of Ricky Weiss, Jensen Ford, McDowell, and Brandon Overton. He pocketed $15,000 for his third win of the 2023 campaign.
