12th-place finish in Stateline Showdown opener at Boyd's

With 41 World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series entries on the grounds for doubleheader weekend, Hedgecock edged his way into the preliminary feature with a fourth-place finish in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Cory gained four spots in the 40-lapper to finish 12th.

On Saturday, Cory’s second-place finish in his heat race elevated him into the redraw. Receiving the eighth-starting position for the $20,000-to-win finale, Hedgecock suffered a flat tire late that sidelined him from the remainder of the 50-lapper with 12 circuits remaining.
