Hedgecock follows Crate Racin' USA to East Bay

Picking back up with the Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series, Cory Hedgecock visited East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Fla.) on Thursday afternoon for the East Bay Winternationals. Following a sixth-place finish in his heat, Hedgecock secured his spot into the opening night feature with a consolation victory. For another $2,500-to-win A-Main on Friday, Cory was forced to take a provisional into the show after missing a transfer spot in his heat race and B-Main. Improving nine spots in the 30-lap affair, Hedgecock salvaged a 15th-place outing.

To wrap up the weekend on Saturday, Hedgecock followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a seventh-place finish in his B-Main.

Relying on a provisional into the postponed feature on Sunday afternoon, Cory pulled off early on lap 32.

Cory remains leading the Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series point standings.
