Podium finish with TOS at Mountain View Raceway

Friday night found Cory Hedgecock in action at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.) for the Topless Outlaw Series-sanctioned Joe Lee Johnson Memorial. After topping the speed charts in time trials, Hedgecock ran into mechanical issues in the feature while challenging for the lead that ended his night immediately.

In a field of 29 TOS entries on Saturday evening at Mountain View Raceway (Spring City, Tenn.), Cory locked his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with the fastest time in his qualifying group. Starting in second, Hedgecock faded in the final circuits to finish third, he trailed Chase King and John Ownbey to the checkers. Kenny Collins and Barry Goodman completed the Top-5 finishers in the 40-lap affair.
