Cory Hedgecock back in victory lane with All-Stars at Bulls Gap
Cory Hedgecock picked up his second-straight American All-Star Series win on Saturday night in his E-Z-GO No. 23 Green’s Recycling / I-75 Raceway / Black Diamond Race Car / Eagle Racing Engine Late Model. His latest conquest came at Tennessee’s Volunteer Speedway and was worth $2,500.
The latest conquest came at Smokey Mountain Speedway with the American All-Star Series and marked his eighth win of the year.
“We went to Volunteer Speedway Saturday night, and the ole Black Diamond Race Car was stuck again. This thing was just great. Only issue I had was late in the race when things got hairy in lapped traffic, but ultimately everything worked out and I was holding the check in Victory Lane at the end of the night,” Hedgecock said. “We’re rolling south to Cochran (Motor Speedway) this weekend for the
Cory Hedgecock traveled to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon for the Food City 40. Drawing 29 American All-Star Series entries, Hedgecock clocked in third fastest overall before placing third in the Dash.
Charging to the lead around the halfway point of the finale, Cory went on to race to his second-straight win with the series and eighth overall triumph of the season. He finished ahead of Mack McCarter, Josh Henry, Logan Roberson, and Rusty Ballenger to claim $2,500.
