BOBBY GIERS CLAIMS DELLS SPORTSMAN FEATURE
Wisconsin Dells WI 5/28/22-Veteran driver Bobby Giers out foxes the young guns to claim the Incredible Cars of Cross Plains UMA Sportsman 25 lap A-main. Carson Sillars and Kevin Gilding brought a strong field of Sportsman to the green for their 25 lap feature Saturday night. Gilding would take early advantage while the fight was on in his rear view mirror. THe front 5 broke into their own battle as Cody Potter moved up to challenge for the top spot. Geri’s would get involved in the fight and would take possession of the lead on lap six. He would continue to build on the lead until the late stages of the race when Potter would have a mechanical failure that would bring the yellow out and the field to his rear bumper. Logan Delaney and Giers would battle to the checkered flag with Giers able to hold off the young hot shoe. Giers was followed to the line by Delaney, Brandon Birdsill, Dave Trute and Jim Cormack. The Incredible Cars of Cross Plains Fast Dash was won by Mitch Lyden. Kevin Gilding and Cody Potter were the heat race winners. Fast time for the 16 Sportsman on hand was Dave Trute with a lap of 14.866
