Bilderback Captures Scenic RV Centers 50
Wisconsin Dells WI 5/15/21-Michael Bilderback from Rockford IL captured the Scenic RV Centers 50 Feature Event Saturday Night at Dells Raceway Park in an exciting fashion with a last lap pass of Jesse Bernhagen for the win. Nick Beaver of Rosemount, MN and North Freedoms Scott Luck brought the field to green with Beaver taking the early lead with a mirror full of Markesan's Jesse Bernhagen. Bernhagen would apply the pressure and take the lead from Beaver before lap 10 and looked in control of the race followed by Bilderback, and 6 time track champion Nick Nolden in third. As the race reached the halfway mark it was last weeks winner Mike Lichtfeld making his way to the front on the top side and challenging Bernhagen for the lead followed by Bilderback and Nolden. As the race wore down to the finish a late race caution would fly tightening the field for a green, white, checkered double file shootout. On the restart Bernhagen drifted up in turn one leaving the door open for Bilderback on the bottom as the pair came to the white flag it was Bilderback leading only the final lap to claim the win followed by Nolden, Lichtfeld, Beaver and Bernhagen at the finish. Earlier in the day it was Morgan Schissel of Mondovi, WI fastest in qualifying with a mark of 14.010 84.797mph. Nick Beaver would pick up the Clark Power Sports Group Fast Dash, Heat winners were James Storey of Burlington and Colton Morgan of Mazomanie. Gandrud Chevrolet B-Main winner was Stephen Manke of Lodi. Late Models will be back in action this week May 22nd for the Southern Aprons Challenge. Fan Gates open at 3pm with Qualifying at 4:30 and Racing at 6pm.
