Will Roland Opens 2022 Season at East Bay Raceway Park

Monday saw Will Roland kick off his 2022 season at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Fla.) aboard his Roland Tire No. 22 Late Model for the Wrisco Winternationals. Drawing a stout field of 70 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Roland took part in his heat race but was an early exit from his B-Main on the sixth circuit.

On Wednesday afternoon after Mother Nature axed Tuesday’s program, Will’s eighth-place finish in his heat race relegated him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 2 into the A-Main, Roland logged a 10th-place finish.

For another $7,000-to-win A-Main on Thursday, Roland jumped up two spots in his heat to finish eighth, sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place second or better to make the show, Will fell short with an eighth-place outing.

After sitting out his time trial session and heat race on Friday, Roland moved up three spots in his B-Main to finish 14th.

To wrap up the Wrisco Winternationals on Saturday, Will competed in his heat race but was a scratch from his consolation event.
