Sixth place finish with LOLMDS at Smoky Mountain Speedway

Saturday night found Dale McDowell in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) piloting his E-Z-GO No. 17m Late Model entry for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Mountain Moonshine Classic. Following the 10th fastest time in his qualifying group, McDowell improved three spots in his heat race to place second behind Tim McCreadie. Starting the $15,000-to-win A-Main in eighth, Dale passed two cars in the 60-lapper to register a sixth place finish. (Michael Moats photo)
