Hoffman rolls to second in WoO FALS Frenzy at Fairbury
Nick Hoffman and Tye Twarog Racing returned with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series on Friday evening at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) for the 40th annual Hoosier Dirt Classic.
After missing a transfer spot by one car in his heat with a fifth-place finish, Hoffman raced his way into the show with a consolation victory. Coming one spot shy of a top-10 finish, Nick passed seven cars to register an 11th-place finish.
In a field of 33 World of Outlaws entries on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the FALS Frenzy, Nick topped his 16-car group in time trials before placing second in his heat. With the redraw positioning him on the third row for the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Hoffman was up to third by lap 24 and wrestled away second from Brian Shirley on lap 43. He trailed a dominant Bobby Pierce to the checkers in the 50-lap affair with Chris Madden, Brandon Sheppard, and Kyle Bronson rounding out the Top-5.
Nick is currently tied for sixth with Brian Shirley in the latest World of Outlaw point standings.
