Clayton Miller Captures Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series Feature at I-75 Raceway

SWEETWATER, TENNESSEE (June 12, 2021)– The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series would be in action on Saturday evening at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, TN and Clayton Miller of Elkton, KY would take the lead on lap 13 and score a $1,200 payday for his efforts.

The win by the 38-year old Miller was his eighth career Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series tour victory and would come behind the wheel of a Brucebilt Chassis powered by a Kevin Fisher Race Engine. Miller’s entry carries sponsorship from Elliott Motorsports, Hustler Bryant Equipment Company, Morris Wall Construction, Tommy’s Quality Used Cars, Wilson’s Print Works, Two14 Media, Randle Chupp Motorsports Consulting, Renegade Race Fuels, American Racer, and All Star Performance.

Blake Brown would take the lead at the drop of the green flag, but the caution would wave immediately for a spin in turn three by Clayton Turner. Once action got underway, Brown would grab the race lead, with Clayton Miller, Brandon Kinzer, Kirk Turner, and Zac Harris giving chase. The caution would again appear on lap two for a two-car tangle on the frontchute that involved Lee Merritt and Jeff Cotterman. The restart would see the front five remain the same until lap seven when Amos Bunch would drive by Harris for the fifth position. Brown would maintain the lead and was set to start working traffic on lap eleven when the caution appeared once again, this time for Merritt slowed on the frontchute. The restart would see Brown maintain the lead until disaster struck on lap thirteen when Brown’s machine would belch a large amount of smoke and he would slow in turn four. Miller would inherit the lead on the restart, only to see the final caution of the race appear when Harris would slow on the backchute. Miller would control the field on the restart, with Kinzer, Kirk Turner, Amos Bunch, and Joey Cotterman in tow. Miller would maintain a comfortable lead throughout the final laps of the event, with Kirk Turner pulling his car pitside on lap twenty-one, however, Miller would control the race the remainder of the way and score the win over Brandon Kinzer, Amos Bunch, Joey Cotterman, and Wayne James.

The next event for the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will be at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN on Saturday June 19, paying $1,200-to-win and $125 to start as a part of the 17th Annual Iron-Man Classic.
