Marlar seventh in Prairie Dirt Classic at Farbury Speedway
Mike Marlar opened up PDC weekend with the FloRacing Night in America Series on Wednesday afternoon for a $20,000-to-win opener at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway.
Marlar fell behind in his heat race and did not transfer out of his B-Main.
For the 35th-running of the Prairie Dirt Classic, Marlar put down the 16th-fastest lap in his qualifying group before charging from eighth-to-second in his showdown feature. He trailed Bobby Pierce while Jason Feger completed the Top-3.
Locked into Saturday's finale, Marlar had to wait until the early hours of the morning after a heavy rain shower delayed the start of the feature. Mike dropped back outside of the Top-10 before making a late charge to score a seventh-place finish in the 100-lap, $50,000-to-win showdown.
