Terbo visits FALS for Prairie Dirt Classic weekend
Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team got their weekend started early with Wednesday’s FloRacing Night in America miniseries event, One for the Road, which kicked off the 35th annual Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury Speedway.
Erb used a provisional to start the $20,000-to-win opener and ultimately retired from the 50-lap feature on lap 26.
The Prairie Dirt Classic officially got underway on Friday as the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series drew 78 entries for preliminary features. With the top four from each prelim locking into Saturday’s $50,000-to-win main event, Erb’s seventh-place finish left him needing to race his way in through Saturday’s Last Chance Showdown.
A runner-up finish in his consolation race earned Erb a spot in the 100-lap finale, but his night came to an early end with a lap-63 retirement.
