Terbo lands runner-up finish in FloRacing Night in America stop at Lernerville
A mid-week start with Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries brought Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) on Wednesday afternoon for the fourth round of the rain-plagued tour.
Joining 48 competitors, Erb outran pole-starting Drake Troutman in his heat race to secure the eight-lap victory. Lined up fourth for the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Tyler got off to a strong start early as went from fourth-to-first on the opening lap. After pacing laps 1-26, Erb surrendered the lead to Bobby Pierce on lap 27 and went onto place second in the 50-lap affair. He chased Pierce to the checkers with Daulton Wilson joining the podium.
For the World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series doubleheader on Friday and Saturday at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio), Tyler was running in sixth in the preliminary feature when he retired on lap 37.
On Saturday, Erb raced into the $15,000-to-win Fireball 50 finale with a second-place finish in his heat. A lap-35 exit relegated him to 19th in the final rundown.
