Erb notches sixth-place finish in Iron-Man stop at Ponderosa

Taking part in a Valvoline Iron-Man Series doubleheader weekend, Tyler Erb visited Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) on Friday night for the 23rd annual Pete Abell Memorial. In a field of 24 cars, Erb secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race win. Starting in fourth, Tyler faded two positions in the 50-lapper to finish sixth. (Mark Schaefer photo)

The following night at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) for the Hall of Fame Classic, Tyler came in third fastest in his group before picking up an eight-lap heat race victory. Rolling off second for the main event, Erb ran second most of the race until contact on lap 41 with two other competitors forced him to retire three circuits later.
