Erb attends Clash at the Mag at Magnolia

After Mother Nature wiped out his plans a weekend prior, Tyler Erb returned to action on Thursday afternoon at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) for the 13th annual Optima Batteries Clash at the Mag. With 44 Late Models on hand for the event sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Erb secured his spot into the preliminary feature with a third-place finish in his heat. With severe weather set to hit the area on Saturday afternoon, officials scratched Friday’s final preliminary feature and shifted the $12,000-to-win Clash at the Mag to Friday evening. Grabbing the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat, Erb locked into the 15th-starting position for the finale. Losing one spot in the 50-lap affair, Tyler logged a 16th-place outing.

Tyler sits in ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
