Kyle Hammer follows World of Outlaws to Cherokee Speedway

After more than a month off to regroup, Kyle Hammer returned with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series on Friday afternoon at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the two-day Rock Gault Memorial. With 40 Super Late Models entered, Hammer followed up a sixth-place finish in his heat with a runner-up finish in his B-Main. On Saturday, Kyle gained one spot in his heat race to register a third-place finish. Starting the $20,000-to-win A-Main in ninth, Hammer dropped four positions in the 60-lap affair to cross the line in 13th.
