Shane Clanton races into Dirt Late Model Dream; sixth in preliminary feature
Making his first extended road trip of the season, Shane Clanton piloted the Ryan Crane-owned No. 25 Capital at at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 30th-annual Dirt Late Model Dream.
Participating in Thursday's preliminary action, Clanton grabbed the final A-Main transfer spot in his heat and charged from 19th to land inside the Top-10 in sixth.
Slated to start from the pole in Saturday's final heat race, Shane lost two spots but still earned a spot in the $100,030-to-win crown jewel. Completing 35 laps, Clanton pulled off early with a flat right rear tire.
