Joe Bares Wins at Cherry Raceway
After a long night Joe Bares took the checkered flag in the Lane Automotive MTS Sprint Series feature event. Steve Irwin and Brett Mann sat on the front row with Irwin taking the lead early in the event . Brett made challenges on the outside of Irwin thought the first few laps of the feature. . Joe Bares would move quickly to the front from his 6th place starting spot and would be in 3rd within a handful of laps. Brett took the lead for a few laps as the leader hit lapped traffic but Steve Irwin made a move on the bottom to regain the lead. After a caution for John Watson Brett took a nasty ride off of Steve Irwins right rear tire in turn one. Brett walked away uninjured. With Joe running 2nd he would make a pass in lapped traffic with 2 laps to go and take his first win of 2013 season.
