Heat race winners for 600's: Blake Moeller, Mike Walling, & Brandon Anderson
Restrictor heat winner: Christopher Townsend
Redraw for the 600's takes place. Isaiah Garcia draws a 1. Collin Taylor pulls a 2. Starting out your front row of the 19 car A-main event. They take the green. The dust flies at first. Track surface, a tough one. Only to find the mud & the slinging began. 2 laps in and caution is out. Weldon Buford and Oscar Aguilera make contact. Buford flipped it. Drivers are okay. Both retire for the night. Green is back out. Blake Moeller, Mike Walling, Collin Taylor, & Jake Lucas are on the hunt. Few laps go by a caution returns for a smoking, stalling Dewey Townsend. As caution flies, Bash Ferguson spins into 1. Isaiah Garcia attempted to slow down to miss. Blake Moeller had no where to escape. Tagged Garcia. Flipped, high into the fence of turn 1. Catch fence did it's job. Moeller checks out okay & retires to the pits. From here out the green stays. Walling is giving it his best shot on a tough track. Lucas is knocking on the back door. Isaiah Garcia leads the entire race. Checkered flag is coming. Lucas gives it one last try & Walling prevails for 2nd. Isaiah Garcia parks his #84 ride in victory lane. Taking home his first POWRi Lonestar 600's Win.
Restrictor's to the hot grid. Feature time. Your up. Cars fire up . Onto the track they come. The one to go is given. Christopher Townsend leads the field to the green. Only to be called back for a jumped start Christopher and Maverick Elkins swap spots. Now Elkins on the pole. Green flag flies. Maverick jumps out front and shows the field how to get around this very tricky track. Several laps later Dylan Still drives into turn 3 hard and tags Christopher Townsend sending Dylan for a nasty flip. As the POWRi Lonestar 600's Ultrashield Safety Crew rushed to check on driver. Christopher Townsend slows on the front straight. Suddenly a fire erupts. The fire due to a busted fuel line fitting dumping fuel on the car and driver. Christopher climbs out in a hurry. The safety crew rushes to the fire and puts it out quickly. Christopher would have a few minor burns to his knee and nose. A few singed eyebrows but he would be OK. No serious damage to driver. The track would be cleared and the remaining drivers get lined back up. Maverick Elkins still your leader. The green flies and Maverick jumps out to a demanding lead with Thomas Hall in second. The yellow drops again to Kinsley Cook stopped in turn 4. She gets her machine fired back up and going. Maverick still in the lead. Green flag flies again this time to Thomas knocking on the door. Maverick keeps the lead and parks it in victory lane.
