Jensen Ford
Sixth-place finish in Dirt Late Model dream prelim at Eldora
Making his debut at the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio), Jensen Ford was one of 74 Late Models entered on Wednesday afternoon to kick off the 27th annual Dirt Late Model Dream with four nights of racing. With the field split into two separate groups for a pair of preliminary features, Ford edged his way into the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature with the fifth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. With preliminary results on Wednesday pinning him fourth on the starting grid for his heat race on Thursday, Jensen logged a sixth-place finish after waiting out a 90-minute weather delay. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the $127,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream, Ford tagged the wall on the opening lap that ended his night early.
For another round of preliminary features on Friday afternoon, Ford followed up the eighth fastest time in his group with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Gregg Satterlee. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Jensen dropped one spot in the 25-lapper to finish sixth.
To wrap up the Dream weekend on Saturday afternoon, Jensen hit a hole while battling for a transfer spot in his heat race that brought a disappointing end to his weekend.
