Lingering Electrical Issues Hamper Ford's Three-Day Weekend

Thursday night saw Jensen Ford return to action at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) for the Spring Thaw. In a field of 18 Crate Late Models, Ford failed to record a lap in qualifying after running into electrical issues. Failing to diagnose the problem in the feature, Jensen was credited with a 17th place outing after retiring on the second lap.

The following night at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee), Ford laid down the 15th fastest time overall locking him on the eighth row for the A-Main. Running into more mechanical issues, Jensen fell back to a 21st place finish in the 20-lap affair.

On Saturday night, Ford stopped at Toccoa Raceway (Toccoa, Georgia) for the Fastrak Racing Series sanctioned Fastrak 38 Special. After laying down the fastest time in his group, Jensen placed 2nd in his heat behind Clayton Turner positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Battling for a Top-5 finish early, Jensen Ford brought out a caution on lap-14 that dropped him back to a 14th place outing.
