Snyder With Pair of Third Place Finishes on Independence Day Weekend
Relentless Promotions - OSBORN, Missouri (July 3, 2020) - ?Stu Snyder powered the KRL Motorsports #5 up through the field from a ninth place starting position to finish third at US-36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri on Friday night.
There were 15 RaceSaver sprint cars on hand at the 3/8-mile track located just 30 miles east of St. Joseph, MO. Snyder drew the #6 pill, lining him up to start on the pole of the first heat race. He quickly took off and checked out from the field to claim the heat race win. The second heat race for the RaceSaver sprint cars was won by Joey Danley (14).
The feature line-up would be determined by a full-field redraw system, putting Snyder to start on the inside of the fifth row. At the drop of the green, Stu passed three cars to claim the sixth position. Just two laps later he would advance to fifth. By lap 6, Snyder found himself sitting in fourth with a heated battle ahead between he and Monty Ferriera. Snyder and Ferriera traded slide-job for slide-job for several laps, until Snyder was able to advance to third after passing Kenny Potter. Lap traffic came into play quickly with Stu navigating to try and run down first and second place runners, Joey Danley and Tyler Drueke. Snyder rode out the remainder of the race in third, where he would finish. Joey Danley claimed the feature win, Drueke in second.
"The new racing surface at US-36 Raceway gave us awesome racing all night long. The track was fast in several lanes, and very racy. It's good to get these podium finishes, we just need to get a little bit more momentum to get back to winning races. We're right on track, I think," said Snyder.
