Lucas Oil Speedway
We were anxious to head back to Lucas Oil Speedway after having such bad luck this past year at this track. Earlier in the year, we made some drastic changes that helped tremendously with our racing program. We thought that tonight would be our night, and it was.. for a little bit. We would lead our heat race and walk away from the rest of the field in dominating fashion. After 3 B mains in the B-mod class, the top 24 cars of the 48 entries were weeded out and the stage was set. We were ready and had done everything we knew to do. This strategy we were trying worked remarkably well a multiple tracks before this, but soon found out that this was a different beast entirely as the green flag dropped. We started falling back immediately and after a few cautions, came back up to 13th place and ended our night. We were not extremely happy with this but considering there were 48 cars, can't be too mad. Huge thanks goes out to All Metal Recycling and Friends and Family.
